Job summary

American Driver is seeking new CDL graduates to begin a dedicated regional driving career. You will complete a 4–6 week paid training with an experienced trainer, then transition to solo driving with guaranteed income and consistent miles.

Training includes 1-on-1 mentorship, hands-on operations, and safety inspections. The role offers a structured path with a regional planner and performance bonuses to support your success.

Qualifications

• Education: 120+ hours completed at an accredited CDL school.
• General: Age 21+ with a CDL matching home state.
• Background: Clean record (max 2 moving violations in 2 years; zero major preventable accidents in 5 years).
• Screening: Must pass urine and hair drug screening.
• Note: Military driving experience counts via DD214.

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 mentorship with an experienced trainer to master real-world OTR and regional driving.
• Hands-on operations including drop-and-hook, backing, and live load/unload management.
• Route & trip planning focusing on time management, logbook/ELD compliance, and route navigation.
• Safety inspections including pre-trip and post-trip procedures.
