Job Responsibilities:

1. Collects, washes, and distributes clean linens and apparel for assigned areas.
2. Collects soiled linens from departments according to schedule.
3. Completes processing tasks such as counting, weighing, and recording items.
4. Utilizes automated equipment or manual processes to process and clean laundry.
5. Delivers clean linens to departments and responds to special delivery or pickup requests.
6. Follows all sanitation and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing a minimum of 125 lbs. Must be able to wear gloves when performing laundry duties.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
