Job summary

Composite Energy Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer in Bristol, Rhode Island. The role requires a minimum of 5 years in CNC lathe programming, with knowledge of HAAS machines and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, maintaining a clean workspace, and effective communication with the team. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional required overtime.

Position Overview

Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation. Familiarity with HAAS Mills and Lathes, as well as vertical lathes. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently. Experience with precision measuring tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in programming and the operation of CNC lathes for production runs and prototyping.
• Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
• Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Maintain a positive attitude, be a team leader and team player, and keep a clean and organized work area.
