Job Title: Lathe Machinist II – 2nd Shift

Reporting To: Leader, Performance

Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY

We are looking for a Lathe Machinist in our Military Aircraft Group who is passionate about precision, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes to produce complex parts with tight tolerances, directly contributing to products that support cutting‑edge technologies. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a culture that values craftsmanship, accountability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform set‑ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, achieve fine finishes, and produce complex geometry.
• Inspect all work performed, set up or adjust gaging equipment, detect unusual conditions or deviant parts, and when needed recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English, and perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, working on lathe machines with mill capabilities.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of G‑Code is preferred.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus.
• Enrolled and participating in the company’s “F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program,” in accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.).

Shift Differential & Salary

2nd and 3rd shift employees receive 10% shift differential pay.

Salary Range (Buffalo, NY): $28.00–$32.00 per hour.
