Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Lathe Machinist I for the 2nd shift to perform CNC lathe operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of machinist experience and familiarity with CNC lathes.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $22.00 to $27.00 hourly, as well as extensive benefits including profit sharing, flexible paid time off, and comprehensive health insurance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to follow an escalation path as it applied to machining.
  • Familiarity using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to, micrometers and dial bore gauges.
  • Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities.
  • Inspect all work performed and set up or adjust gaging equipment.
  • Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints.

Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Qualifications (to be considered)
  • At least 1 year experience as a general machinist, CNC lathe experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow an escalation path as it applied to machining.
  • Familiarity using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to, micrometers and dial bore gauges.
  • Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
Responsibilities
  • Perform set-ups and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
  • Be responsible for the inspection of all work performed, setting up or adjusting gaging equipment, detecting unusual conditions, deviant parts; and when needed recognizing errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
  • Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.

Salary

Buffalo, NY $22.00–$27.00 Hourly

Salary Range Transparency

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
