Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Set-Up Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC lathe setup, programming adjustments, and troubleshooting. Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol programming is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts to exact specifications.

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine setup requirements.

Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.

Perform machine adjustments, tool offsets, and program edits as needed.

Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.

Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and meet production deadlines.

Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications:

Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol programming is a strong plus.

3+ years of experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
