Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machinist/Programmer for a permanent position within our growing manufacturing team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about precision machining and programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and basic programming of CNC machines, reading blueprints, performing precision measurements.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate, set up, and basic programming of CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
2. Read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics to understand product specifications and tolerances.
3. Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure products meet exact specifications.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement machining processes and programs.
5. Maintain and perform regular checks on machinery, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
7. Continually seek to improve processes and outcomes, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a manufacturing setting.
2. Proven expertise in CNC machine operation and basic programming.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Demonstrated ability to perform precision measurements and operate CNC machines.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information.
6. Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
7. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in machining, programming, or a related field is preferred.
