Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• OPOTC certification and a minimum of two consecutive years of full-time Peace Officer experience.
• Valid driver's license and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Patrols a designated area to deter crime and apprehend violators, maintaining radio contact as directed.
• Responds to violations of laws and ordinances, including drug offenses, felonies, and disturbances.
• Enforces vehicle and traffic laws; issues notices and serves court writs.
• Investigates crimes and accidents; preserves the crime scene and may administer first aid; questions and detains witnesses as needed.
• Writes reports detailing crimes, accidents, investigations and other police activities.
• Serves in specialized operations as needed and may coordinate the duties of other officers at a crime scene.
