Position Details

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Basic Oregon DPSST certification or equivalent
  • Completion of a Field Training Program
  • At least one year of full-time experience as a Police Officer or Deputy within the last 12 months

Refer to the Deputy Classification Specification for additional licenses, physical abilities, and requirements.

Background and Licensing

Must pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.

Application Process

  2. Complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) online within 16 days of receiving the link from Guardian Alliance Technologies.
  3. Complete the Pre-Offer Suitability Test.
  4. Participate in a ride-along.
  5. Attend a panel interview.
  6. Undergo a Commander interview and receive a conditional job offer.
  7. Complete post-offer physical and psychological evaluations.

Eligible List and Reapplication
