Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Lateral Legal Recruiting Coordinator in California to support the Lateral Legal Recruiting Director and office teams. You will help identify hiring needs, monitor postings, and prepare candidate packets for partners.

You will assist with interviews, offers, and onboarding tasks while coordinating with search firm recruiters. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and basic MS Office skills; preferred are two years in a large law firm and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution or technical school.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Prefer two years of large law firm experience and familiarity with applicant management systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to lateral hiring needs with the team and practice groups.
• Monitor active postings and compile applicant packets for review.
• Assist in interview scheduling, candidate greetings, evaluations, and offers.
• Maintain relationships with search firm recruiters and track placement status.
• Prepare new lateral hires for onboarding tasks.
