Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Lateral Legal Recruiting Coordinator in California to support the Lateral Legal Recruiting Director and team across offices. You will help identify lateral hiring needs, monitor postings, and prepare candidate packets for review by partners.

The role involves coordinating interviews, collecting evaluations, and preparing offers while developing relationships with search firms and assisting with onboarding and background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college or technical school.
• Demonstrated basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Two years of large law firm experience preferred.
• Experience with lawyer-focused applicant management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to lateral hiring needs with the Lateral Recruiting Team and Practice Groups.
• Monitor active lateral job postings and compile packets for review by leadership.
• Assist in scheduling interviews, greet candidates, collect evaluations and prepare offer letters.
• Maintain relationships with search firm recruiters and track placement agreements.
