South County Fire is seeking a Firefighter Paramedic in Washington State to provide ALS care outside of hospitals under the Medical Director's direction. The role combines emergency medical treatment with fire suppression, training, and equipment maintenance, reporting to the Captain and working per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of full-time firefighter paramedic experience in Washington, holds IFSAC Firefighter I & II, HazMat Ops, NIMS certs, and

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Washington State Paramedic Certification required.
• IFSAC Firefighter I & II certifications required.
• HazMat Operations certification required.
• NIMS 100/200/700/800 certificates required.

• Participates in training activities, pre-fire planning, inspections, and other programs to maintain readiness.
• Performs ALS medical treatment and transportation per standards.
• Transports patients to medical facilities and coordinates scene transfers.
• Engages in fire suppression, ladder operations, and rescue techniques as needed.
• Pursues ongoing career development and educational advancement.
