Job summary

Santander is seeking an Analyst to support the Latam Rates and FX trading desk in U.S. Corporate Investment Banking. The role focuses on analysis, tooling, and day-to-day desk support, collaborating with trading and sales to improve models and analytics.

The candidate will contribute to accurate P&L reporting and deliver high-quality statistical and market work for internal stakeholders, with emphasis on data quality and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is required.
• Strong programming skills with VBA, Python, RStudio, and SQL.
• Experience with Latam rates and FX products is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven mindset.
• Spanish language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide desk support across Latam IR and FX products, including daily P&L reconciliation and explaining drivers.
• Build, enhance, and maintain pricing, risk, and performance models.
• Perform statistical analysis on market and trading data.
• Develop and automate tools and workflows to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc analytics for internal clients (Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance, Control).
• Communicate outputs to desk stakeholders and translate quantitative results into insights.
• Support process improvements around data and models.
