Job summary

Aegon Asset Management, a leading global investor, seeks an Emerging Markets Credit Research analyst based in Chicago or Cedar Rapids. You will provide high-quality fundamental credit analysis on EM corporate issuers across industries in Latin America, and communicate views to portfolio managers.

You will monitor macro conditions and apply relative value techniques to identify opportunities, while developing external expert relationships and publishing research for the global platform.

Qualifications

• BA required and MBA preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in the investment industry or closely related field.
• Experience in a research position.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality fundamental credit research on EM corporate issuers in Latin America.
• Gather and analyze data, forecast metrics, and share insights with portfolio managers.
• Monitor macroeconomic, political, and market conditions and assess impact on credit quality and prices.
• Apply relative value analyses and market technicals to identify opportunities.
• Communicate trade recommendations that generate excess returns for clients.
• Publish value-added research on covered EM companies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external experts and research counterparts.
