Job summary

Aegon Asset Management is seeking a Research Analyst to join our Global Credit Research team, based in Chicago or Cedar Rapids. You will support senior analysts evaluating corporate bonds and bank loans, update financial models, and help enhance the research process.

This role offers training opportunities and potential to develop credit research skills. Preferred candidates have 2+ years in investment research, MBA or CFA, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BA required.
• Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and/or SNL.
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of fundamental credit research.
• Provide support to existing credit research team across a range of industries, including updating financial models and ad hoc research requests.
• Assist in the coverage of smaller holdings, including analysis of earnings, news, financials, and other relevant information.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases that support the investment process.
• Lead projects to enhance the overall credit research process.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently on a sustained basis.
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
