Job summary

Amazon in Bellevue, WA is seeking a design engineer to lead last mile station concepts and develop industrial building designs using CAD, automation, and robotics. You will craft detailed layouts, coordinate with operations, and translate requirements into scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, iterate designs based on data, ensure safety and cost-efficiency, and stay current with CAD best practices to push towards world-class delivery stations.

Qualifications

Experience creating CAD-based layouts for delivery stations.
Knowledge of automated material handling, packaging tech, and robotics.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Create detailed CAD drawings of delivery station layouts, integrating conveyors, sorting equipment, and automation.
Lead design efforts to develop optimal last-mile delivery station solutions with modular systems.
Develop and present technical documents detailing design specifications, rationale, and how projects align with goals.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Translate strategic visions into roadmaps and concrete technical plans.
Refine and iterate designs based on feedback, data, and emerging technologies to improve scalability.
Ensure that designs meet safety standards, operational requirements, and sustainability goals.
Stay current with CAD technologies and best practices in industrial design.
Contribute to development of design standards and best practices within the organization.
