Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Simi Valley, CA to lead a team of hourly employees and drive safety, quality, attendance and performance. You will ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time to the right location and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

You will work across safety, loss prevention and HR initiatives, lifting up to 49 pounds and standing for long shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for long shifts; climb stairs as needed.
• Work in variable environments including outside loading and refrigerated areas.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts).
