Job summary

MPG is seeking a Laser Welding Operator in Salisbury, MD to run a laser welder, load/unload parts, inspect parts, and document daily production. You will prepare labor sheets and records, enter data into the computer, and maintain safe, clean work areas.

This onsite role requires precise part handling and adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities include setting up jobs, maintaining gauges and tooling, and communicating with supervisors and shop personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or permanent resident - green card holder).
• High School Diploma or equivalent- documentation required
• Be able to write and document information clearly
• Must have an understanding of the machining process
• Must be able to run parts to spec on a daily basis
• Must be able to read simple part drawings
• Must be able to use and read micrometers and dial calipers accurately
• Must be able to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• CNC experience is a plus
• Perform any other task management deems necessary or needed by the company

Responsibilities

• Set up and switch jobs as required
• Operate laser welder and perform part loading/unloading
• Inspect parts and document production records
• Maintain safe, clean work areas
• Maintain inspection gauges and tooling
• Maintain accurate labor sheets
• Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards
