Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to laser operation, including materials, feed/speed settings, nozzles, and laser lens/consumables.
• Proficiency in uploading and modifying laser program parameters to maximize cutting efficiency.
• Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning optics/lenses and monitoring gas levels.
• Solid understanding of laser cutting parameters with the ability to visually identify cutting issues and apply effective problem-solving techniques to adjust settings accordingly.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate the laser cutting machines and ensure accurate cutting of parts.
• Identify proper nozzle selection, material checks, and table values for each job.
• Inspect cut parts and verify conformity to drawings and specifications.
• Monitor and adjust feed/speed settings to maintain cut quality and efficiency.
