Job summary

MPE, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is hiring a Laser/Turret Team Member for the second shift (2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday). The role involves setting up and running laser and turret punch equipment to cut metal components to print, load materials, and maintain tooling and machine upkeep.

You should have at least 6 months of laser experience, the ability to read drawings, and familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months of experience running laser cutting equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand standard and metric dimensions.
• Knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and height gauges.
• Turret punch experience preferred.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser and turret punch equipment to cut metal components to print and MPE quality requirements.
• Identify raw materials, and load and unload material using manual lifts, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Operate the InspecVision scanner to verify parts.
• Assemble, disassemble, and sharpen turret tooling.
• Perform nozzle alignment and focus lens cleaning.
• Run a test coupon at the start of each shift to zero the laser and punch.
• Flex to shakeout (part separation), deburring, hardware insertion, or press brake operations based on workload.
• Follow all MPE safety policies.
• Maintain an organized workplace through good housekeeping.
