Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Laser/Camera Test Engineer to ensure high-quality production testing, improve automation and data analytics, and collaborate across design, quality, and manufacturing teams. You’ll develop testing workflows, troubleshoot infrared systems, and drive improvements in test methods to support rapid, reliable product releases.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in physics/engineering, hands-on test experience, and a track record of delivering robust test solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python and other programming languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensuring production test flow; provide hands-on troubleshooting of infrared systems.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system level checks to component level validation.
• Generate test work instructions for technicians; train technicians on equipment use as required.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides/diagrams for fast issue resolution.
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Support customer returns and failure analysis with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for NPIs and product improvements.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports identifying defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and reduce test time.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes.
