Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a laser operator in Orrville, OH. The role focuses on setting up laser equipment, loading materials, and performing programmed cutting sequences with gas controls. The position is non-exempt and paid hourly, with shift differential compensation.

Responsibilities include removing cut parts, aligning materials, and testing the laser while following part instructions and safety protocols. Associates degrees or related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Removes lasered components from laser bed and places them on carts/skids.
• Places and aligns raw material on laser bed utilizing crane assist.
• Reviews part instructions such as assembly layout, blueprints, and sketches, and sets up machine to run production.

• Performs secondary operations during cycle times.
• Downloads programs for scheduled cutting sequences and makes NC adjustments to the laser; tests laser and gas systems.
