Job summary

Pivotal Health Solutions in Watertown, SD is seeking a Laser Programmer/Operator to set up and operate laser cutting equipment, ensuring all work meets precise specifications.

You will interpret engineering blueprints, program CAD/CAM files, select machine tooling, and collaborate with clients' engineers to optimize parts while maintaining safe practices.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and readiness to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year programming lasers for sheet metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of material properties and mathematics in production.
• Ability to write/edit/troubleshoot G-code.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools and nesting software (SigmaNEST).
• Ability to understand G Codes and troubleshoot programs.

Responsibilities

• Program and maintain current file revisions of all client parts.
• Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts using CAD/CAM software.
• Work with clients' engineers to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing.
• Prepare detailed setup sheets and work instructions.
• Ensure laser equipment safety and maintenance are addressed.
