Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of laser programming for sheet metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of material properties and mathematics applied to production tooling.
• Ability to write, edit and troubleshoot G-code programs.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, CAMWorks and SigmaNEST.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering blueprints to program flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/CAM software.
• Program and maintain current file revisions of client parts.
• Set up and operate laser cutting equipment and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with clients’ engineers and reverse engineer parts for manufacturing.
• Provide detailed setup sheets and work instructions for production.
