Job summary

Graepel North America is seeking a CNC laser operator to set up and run the laser, retrieve and adjust programs, and ensure high quality metal parts.

The role requires experience with direct reading measuring devices, blueprint interpretation, and forklift operation in a team or independent setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with availability for a standard shift and routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Direct read measuring devices preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management or operations preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC laser machine.
  • Perform program retrieval, adjust gases, nozzles and lenses as required.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on CNC laser equipment.
  • Set up metal fabrication machinery to produce parts with minimal defects.
  • Check work against blueprints using precision measuring tools.
  • Complete work orders with accurate quantities of good and defective parts.
  • Maintain regular schedule as determined by supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Job description

Shift: Monday through Thursday 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Friday 6 AM to Noon

Medical and Dental premiums are paid 100%. This includes dependants.

Essential Functions Statements
  • Ability to setup and operate CNC laser machine
  • Knowledge and hands‑on operation of CNC laser for metal fabrication including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, lenses, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts.
  • Provide routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs to CNC laser machine.
  • Setup metal fabrication machinery and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.
  • Check accuracy of work using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
  • Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
  • Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Education:
  • High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.
Experience:
  • Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
  • Ability to properly document paperwork.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid‑sized volume metal fabrication preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
