Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings (or willingness to learn).
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate, and monitor laser cutting machines, adjusting speed and focus as needed for materials like steel and aluminum.
• Assist in tooling changes, clean lenses, and perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and blueprints to ensure specifications are met.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines (PPE, lockout/tagout) and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Log production counts, downtime, and material usage.
