Job summary

Safety Rail Co. is seeking a Laser Operator on the 2nd shift to operate Amada laser systems for sheet metal fabrication and to train team members.

The role requires handling and loading materials safely, using nesting software, and performing routine laser maintenance such as centering and lens cleaning. Overtime may be required to meet production needs and ensure on-time job completion.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser on second shift (2pm–12:30am, M–Th).
• Set up and run one laser proficiently; perform centering, lens cleaning, and focus tests.
• Nest and coordinate work with both table and tube lasers; train others.
• Maintain safety and attendance per policy; participate in overtime as required.
• Utilize clocking and inventory systems to track job completion and material flow.

2nd Shift Laser Operator Pay & Skill Levels:Our Laser Operator position is structured in three skill-based tiers, with starting pay determined by your qualifications and experience. Laser Operators have the opportunity to advance to the next tier by developing the required skills, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications outlined for that level.
