Job summary

Owen Industries is seeking a weekend laser operator at PVS Metals in Carter Lake, IA. You will oversee laser cutting, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot production issues while maintaining top quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production issues quickly and independently.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to identify materials using mic readings and color codes.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and company procedures.
• Strong communication for effective shift handoffs and team coordination.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all laser cutting operations and maintenance during your shift.
• Perform daily tasks including checking and replacing filters and cylinders.
• Troubleshoot production issues promptly and resolve them efficiently.
• Identify and gauge materials using mic readings and color codes.
• Maintain equipment and report issues with tools and nozzles.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Communicate clearly during shift transitions.
