Job summary

PVS Metals, part of Owen Industries, Carter Lake, IA, is hiring a Press Brake Operator for a Fri–Sun shift from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM. You’ll be paid for 40 hours each week while only working 36, plus a $3,000 hiring and retention bonus.

The role offers competitive wages: $21–$28 per hour and a robust benefits package. You’ll set up and run hydraulic press brakes, read blueprints and GD&T, measure to tight tolerances, and perform in‑process quality checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on press brake operating experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T symbols.
• Experience measuring with digital calipers to 0.001 inch.
• Able to set up jobs independently including back gauge programming.
• Willingness to work Friday–Sunday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes per specs.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and tolerances.
• Achieve bend tolerances to ±0.005 inches.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document deviations.
• Adjust tooling and back gauges to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
