Job summary

Hennig is seeking a CNC Operator for our Machesney Park location. The successful candidate will operate CNC laser cutting machines and interpret blueprints in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and safety is required.

Responsibilities include loading materials onto the machine, unloading finished products, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Prior CNC operation experience is preferred. If you're a proactive individual, we want you on our team!

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating CNC machinery preferred.
• Basic understanding of metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
• Interpret basic blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
• Demonstrate knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
• Load sheets of steel onto the laser bed using an overhead crane
• Unload finished parts from the laser machine and stage for next operations
• Monitor machine performance and report issues or defects
• Maintain a safe and organized work area by following all safety procedures and regulations
• Support production and organizational goals by taking ownership of assigned tasks and adapting to new or changing requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and overall job performance

Requirements

• Experience using cranes or material handling equipment is a plus
