Job summary

NIC Global Manufacturing Solutions. is seeking a 2nd Shift Laser Operator in Tennessee to operate the CNC laser cutting machine and related equipment in a fast-paced production environment. Starting pay is $22.50 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential.

You will program, download, and edit console, verify cut measurements, and work with teammates to maximize productivity while adhering to safety and ISO/OSHA standards. Benefits begin after 30 days, with comprehensive coverage and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to program, download, and edit console.
• Ability to verify the measurement of cut materials.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Must have good communication, organizational, and cross-training skills.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, and Brass.

Responsibilities

• Operates the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in production.
• Has an understanding of laser machine operation, differences between cutting various alloys, and gauge of material.
• Performs regular maintenance on the machine.
• Programs, downloads, and edits console as required. Verifies the measurement of cut materials.
• Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities.
• Follows all safety rules and quality standards.
• Follows all company rules and policies.
• Upholds all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
