Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a Laser Operator in Birmingham, AL to safely operate laser equipment for carbon steel tubular products. You will perform quality checks and address issues to maintain product specifications.

The role supports production efficiency by ensuring materials and records are kept up to date. Qualified candidates have manufacturing experience, blueprint reading skills, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand a digital length gauge, calipers, and mics.
• Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with the metric system.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate lasers to process carbon steel tubular products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Address quality issues promptly to ensure resolution.
• Ensure materials are readily available to maintain production efficiency.
• Operate equipment within general work instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate the lasers to process carbon steel tubular products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Address quality issues in a timely fashion as they arise to ensure they are resolved.
• Responsible for ensuring all materials are readily available to ensure production efficiency.
• Operates equipment within general work instructions.
• Maintains production related records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a manufacturing setting and operating industrial equipment.
• An understanding of fabrication component parts.
• Ability to read blueprints and read and understand a digital length gauge, calipers, mics.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Understand the metric system.
• Shift work may be required.
