Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Laser Operator to safely operate lasers, process carbon steel tubular products, and support production efficiency.

You will perform quality checks, read blueprints and measure parts with calipers and gauges, and maintain production records while following work instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting and operating industrial equipment.
• Understanding of fabrication component parts.
• Ability to read blueprints and read and understand a digital length gauge, calipers, mics.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Understand the metric system.
• Shift work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the lasers to process carbon steel tubular products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Address quality issues in a timely fashion as they arise to ensure they are resolved.
• Responsible for ensuring all materials are readily available to ensure production efficiency.
• Operates equipment within general work instructions.
• Maitains production related records.
