Job summary

DPI Staffing is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join a local manufacturing partner in NE Portland. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise metal components.

The pay range is $22 to $25 per hour with a schedule from 7am to 3:30pm. Strong blueprint-reading and measuring tool skills are required to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating laser cutting equipment (CNC preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment for production runs.
• Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine operation, adjust settings, and perform quality checks.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues.

This company manufactures large industrial containers that are used by numerous industries.

Pay Range: $ 2 2 to $2 5 per hour

Location: NE Portland

Schedule: 7am to 3:30pm

Some of what you will be doing:

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment for production runs
• Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accuracy
• Monitor machine operation, adjust settings , and perform quality checks
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues
