Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing with nLIGHT or equivalent
• Hands-on assembly, precision fabrication, and product quality testing
• Overtime as required to meet production output
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Basic computer and LAN skills
• Basic math skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with others collaboratively and maintain organization

Responsibilities

• Leads shift production objectives by monitoring machine and personnel performance
• Ensures WIP movement aligns with projections
• Works with supervisor to manage and prioritize work to meet schedules
• Participates in staffing projections and turnover meetings
• Responds to safety incidents and aids investigation
• Drives Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicates front-line performance and attendance issues to supervisors
• Escalates production slowdowns or stoppages
• Promotes a harassment/discrimination-free environment
• Performs related duties as required
