Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Laser Machine Operator on the second shift. You will set up, program and operate a laser cutting machine, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role offers competitive hourly pay ($21.43–$27.27 DOE) plus a $2.50 shift premium and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, FSA, 401(k), life insurance and paid time off. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate Laser cutting machine.
• Edit programs per job order.
• Read and interpret prints and work instructions.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure quality, accuracy, and production efficiency.
• Measure and verify dimensions using various tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning, lubrication and replacing worn components.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow quality procedures and processes.
• Perform other machining jobs if necessary.
