Phillips Staffing is seeking an experienced Laser Operator for a Spartanburg, SC client in a direct-hire manufacturing role. You will operate CNC Fiber Laser equipment to cut sheet metal to drawings, inspect parts, and maintain tooling and safety standards.

The position emphasizes precision, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment. The role includes training opportunities, routine maintenance, and processing takedown of parts with tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery, preferably CNC Fiber Laser equipment.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and quality inspection processes.
• Ability to accurately use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC Fiber Laser machine to accurately cut sheet metal parts according to drawings and production requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Laser Operator to join our client’s manufacturing and fabrication team located in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC Fiber Laser machines and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, quality control, and material handling. The Laser Operator will be responsible for accurately cutting sheet metal parts according to specifications, inspecting finished products, performing routine machine maintenance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
