Laser Engraving Production & Procurement Specialist

Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Production and Procurement Specialist to coordinate laser and chemical engraving production from intake to on-time delivery. You will own procurement, shipping, P-card reconciliation, and inventory counts across the site, while cross-functionally partnering with Sales, Engineering, and Finance to meet KPIs.

You’ll drive cost-effective supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and ensure accurate job costing through three-way matching and ERP workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a comparable procurement or production role.
• Associate degree in Procurement, Engineering or related field.
• CAD experience for mold data interpretation; Rhino preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems and PO creation.
• Experience with three-way match and supplier invoicing.
• Familiarity with shipping docs and logistics processes.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organization and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule laser and chemical engraving work; manage Jira board.
• Monitor machine availability and utilization; provide forecasts.
• Lead procurement, SKU pricing and supplier negotiations.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipping and logistics.
• Reconcile invoices and support month-end close.
• Oversee quarterly inventory counts and variances.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Finance; liaise with suppliers.
