Job summary

Pacific Science Center seeks a part-time Laser Usher to greet guests, validate tickets, and guide audiences in the Laser Dome. You will coordinate with laserists and Guest Services to ensure a memorable, safe experience aligned with PSC values.

You must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Prior usher or theater/events experience is preferred, with strong communication and a calm demeanor in a loud, dark environment.

Qualifications

• Be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Able to work in a dark and loud environment with flashing laser projections.
• Previous usher or theater/events experience.
• Written and oral communications are clear and effective.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience by warmly greeting guests at the Laser Dome.
• Validate tickets and manage entry/exit from theater locations.
• Respond to guest inquiries with courtesy aligned to PSC mission and values.
• Direct guests to facilities, provide ear plugs/headphones, and enforce theater quiet policies.
• Coordinate with laserists and Guest Services on security and safety.
• Assist in minor maintenance, setup, and post-show cleanup of Laser Dome spaces.
• Report issues to Security and Guest Services as needed.
• Support operations and ensure safe, friendly guest experiences.
