Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting metal working machines preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations required.
• Basic measurement skills and math computations required.
• Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up laser cutting units.
• Review blue prints, work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications.
• Choose correct material for the job according to work order.
• Set up laser cutting unit for safe operation and adjust speeds/feeds.
• Determine processing specifications and tolerances.
• Position work pieces for processing and operate machines as needed.
• Measure pieces with calipers/micrometers and ensure conformance to specs.
• Perform quality inspections on finished product and documentation.
• Maintain equipment and handle materials as required.
• Ensure safety and quality standards compliance.
