Job summary

Ottenweller Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated team member to assist in CNC operation and laser-related setup at our Fort Wayne facility. The role includes loading materials, monitoring equipment, and performing first-piece inspections to ensure quality.

Responsibilities also include moving parts per router, using calipers and tape measure for measurement, and supporting punch press operations as needed in a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–6 months CNC operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools like calipers and tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Assist Laser Operator in setup and operation of laser cutting machines.
• Load material onto machine worktable using forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Unload processed parts and part skeleton, place finished parts into baskets.
• Move material and parts to next operation as designated on router.
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using calipers and tape measure.
• Operate punch press machines as needed.
