Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team in Rice Lake. You will perform start-up, alignment, and tool changes on laser equipment, read blueprints, and create programs for laser runs, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving and precise measurement skills, with physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and daily standing in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• ,Perform machine start-up, warm-up and shut down operations ensuring procedures are followed.
• Select, measure, assemble, and set machine using precision gauges.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tooling and work pieces on machine.
• Create nests/programs to be run on the laser machines.
• Identify preventive maintenance points and inspect laser head and lenses.
• Position and secure work pieces and set tooling parameters.
• Monitor machine operation and respond to malfunctions.
