Advanced Laser Systems Technology (ALST) in Orlando, FL is hiring a Manufacturing Technician II – Laser Assembly to perform defined laser assembly operations and build sequences in a cleanroom environment.

The role develops proficiency in laser manufacturing, with guidance from senior technicians on complex issues, and requires adherence to safety and quality processes. US citizenship per ITAR is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years relevant work experience, or Associate’s degree with 2+ years experience.
• 2+ years mechanical, electrical, or optical assembly/bonding experience.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person per ITAR requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform laser assembly operations, subassembly builds, and testing activities.
• Complete optical bonding, cleaning, inspection, and documentation activities.
• Assist with laser alignment and integration tasks under guidance from senior technicians.
• Follow established work instructions and manufacturing processes.
• Identify defects or abnormalities and elevate issues appropriately.
• Support production throughput and quality objectives.
• Follow laser safety and cleanliness procedures and maintain the cleanroom.
• Other duties as assigned.
