Job summary

XOVR CNC Parts & Service is seeking a Laser Applications Specialist to provide expert-level support, optimize cutting processes, and train customers on fiber laser systems across the United States.

You will baseline and debug new CNC systems, analyze performance data, and collaborate with engineers, service managers, and customers to improve machine utilization.

Candidates must live within one hour of a major airport and have CNC equipment experience; laser cutting experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related technical education; ME/MET preferred.
• Experience with CNC machine tools and reading technical diagrams.
• Must reside within one hour of a major US airport and willing to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Baselining/debugging new CNC equipment systems.
• Training new customers and operators on equipment operation and procedures.
• Troubleshooting existing equipment systems and reporting findings clearly.
• Performing data analysis to assess machinery performance.
• Documenting machine safety, maintenance, and operational reports.
• Interpreting layout, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams/schematics.
• Collaborating with engineers, service managers, and customers to improve machine utilization.
• Providing pre- and post-sale technical support to customers on CNC tools.
• Developing and optimizing cutting parameters and processes for customer applications.
• Assisting with on-site or remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Generating application reports, case studies, and technical documentation.
