Job summary

Winbro, a high-tech company enabling green hydrogen solutions, seeks a Laser Applications Engineer to join our lab and technology center in Rock Hill, SC. You will develop laser applications trials to support marketing, sales and future opportunities, and work closely with customers to drive new business.

Qualifications

• Understanding of laser processing and optics.
• Willingness to learn, experiment and test the boundaries with laser processing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as EDM, laser welding, laser drilling, laser micromachining or milling.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field (or relevant experience).
• US citizen or existing Green Card holder due to customer facilities access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the mission to increase business revenue and technology using laser processing.
• Develop internal laser applications trials to support marketing, sales and tradeshows.
• Develop customer requested laser applications trials and testing for future opportunities.
• Collaborate with the sales team to monitor trends in the laser and optics industry to support growth.
• Assist in feasibility studies and business plans for new product development.
• Majority of time in the laser application laboratory and technology center; occasional customer support and continuous improvement work.
