Job summary

Acme Equipment seeks a Large Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and hydraulic systems on construction machinery in Fargo, ND. The role includes on-site service calls, customer communication, and ensuring equipment remains at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Prompt and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic systems, and gas and diesel engines.
• Perform service calls on the road and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and service trucks.
• Coordinate with Service Supervisor and parts department to order parts.
• Keep accurate records of parts orders and hours worked.

We're looking for a Large Equipment Mechanic to join our Fargo, ND service team. Our brand new Acme Equipment location is easy to access within the Fargo area and features a climate-controlled, clean, and modern facility equipped with the latest shop technology and diagnostic tools to help you do your best work. In this role, you'll work on everything from construction machinery to Kubota equipment by diagnosing issues, making repairs, and keeping our customers' equipment at peak performance.

Schedule:Full-time - 40 hours/week during operating hours

Starting Wage:$32+/hour (based on experience) and $3,000 sign on bonus for qualifying candidates

Your Role as a Large Equipment Mechanic

Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to use your skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and gas and diesel engines
• Performing service calls on the road and communicating with customers about the status and location of repairs needed
• Cleaning up after each project, keeping indoor and outdoor workstations clean and clear from obstructions, and maintaining clean and working service trucks
• Clearly communicating with the Service Supervisor and parts department to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner
• Accurately keeping records, including parts orders and hours worked on equipment
• Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
• Completing related tasks as assigned

What We're Looking For

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Sit, stand, and walk on a hard surface for the majority of your shift
• Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
