Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Large Casting Processor to support molding, finishing, and quality inspection in a fast-paced metals environment. Core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and the position pays $20.55 per hour.

Applicants should have at least six months of manufacturing experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position

Responsibilities

• Assist the molder and repair ladles in the large casting area.
• Load and unload flasks, operate molding lines, and perform shake-out and finishing tasks.
• Operate grinders, saws, and blast equipment to remove fins, gates, and surface defects.
• Transport materials with gas-powered forklift or hand truck and handle setup adjustments as required

What you'll do:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the large casting molding and finishing areas. Duties include: assisting the molder, repairing ladles, loading and unloading flasks, bottom boards, and upsets to molding lines; pouring molds, shaking out molds, operating automated shake-out machine, core knockout, grinding large castings and operating shot-blast equipment; transporting materials/metal with either gas operated fork truck or hand truck and operate power sweeper; Use all required equipment in grinding such as hand tools, air grinders, air chisels, band saws, etc. to remove fins, parting lines, sprues, risers, gates, surface roughness and all irregularities from castings. Place wheels or abrasive belts on machines and make simple adjustments on machines as required. Patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards. Refer unusual or questionable situations to proper supervision.
