Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHDdivision is seeking a Large Casting Processor in the Syracuse, NY area to perform a wide variety of duties in the large casting molding and finishing areas. The role supports molders by handling ladles, flasks, and related equipment during the casting process.

The position requires basic manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and legal work authorization in the United States. It is an on-site, full-time role with a daytime shift and hourly pay of $20.55.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist the molder, repair ladles, load and unload flasks, bottom boards and upsets to molding lines.
• Pour molds and shake out, operate automated shake-out and core knockout equipment, and finish large castings.
• Transport materials with fork truck or hand truck and operate power sweeper.

The hourly rate for this position is$20.55per hour.

What you’ll do:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the large casting molding and finishing areas. Duties include: assisting the molder, repairing ladles, loading and unloading flasks, bottom boards, and upsets to molding lines; pouring molds, shaking out molds, operating automated shake-out machine, core knockout, grinding large castings and operating shot-blast equipment; transporting materials/metal with either gas operated fork truck or hand truck and operate power sweeper; Use all required equipment in grinding such as hand tools, air grinders, air chisels, band saws, etc. to remove fins, parting lines, sprues, risers, gates, surface roughness and all irregularities from castings. Place wheels or abrasive belts on machines and make simple adjustments on machines as required. Patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards. Refer unusual or questionable situations to proper supervision.

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area ( 50 miles ) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position
