Virginia Tech's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Large Animal Clinic, seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide basic and intensive nursing care to all admitted patients. You will support clinical faculty, residents, interns, and senior students with animal handling and the use of diagnostic equipment.
This on-site role may include on-call shifts, weekends and holidays. You must be able to move up to 75 pounds and work long periods in varied positions.
Position Summary: Provides basic and intensive nursing care to allpatients of all services admitted for treatment to the Large AnimalClinic of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Provides technicalassistance to clinical faculty, residents, interns, and seniorveterinary students concerning all aspects of patient care, animalhandling and the application and use of specialized diagnostic andmedical equipment.
