Job summary

Lenovo in Morrisville, NC is seeking a ThinkPad Offering Team Project Manager to lead cross-functional development and delivery across the product lifecycle, blending engineering with business objectives.

You will translate customer needs into product definitions, manage integrated plans and budgets, coordinate hardware/software, and drive launch readiness while monitoring risks and performance for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Two+ years of project management or product development experience.
• Experience supporting hardware and/or software product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Offering Core Teams through product planning, definition, development, qualification, launch, and post-launch support.
• Translate customer needs, market requirements, technology capabilities, and business objectives into optimized product definitions.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, master schedules, resource plans, budgets, and project commitments.
• Coordinate activities across hardware engineering, software engineering, marketing, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, services, and external partners.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, project expense, product quality, and overall execution.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage issues, changes, and dependencies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead product scope discussions, investment reviews, development checkpoints, and executive status updates.
• Make informed trade‑off decisions involving product features, schedule, cost, quality, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project performance using key metrics and communicate progress to executive leadership.
• Drive product launch readiness, including manufacturing transition, supply readiness, quality execution, and production ramp.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by monitoring product performance after launch and responding to changing business and market conditions.
